A New Project Intro...#projectgirlydream

Let me introduce you to a new project, which will be known as #projectgirlydream

My instructions were specific & sparse.

"I love what you did for your daughters bedroom, do something like that"

Just to recap, here's my daughters room - she's 5

So with that being my main direction, along with keeping the budget in check, I began my design, but was focusing on the tween/ teen age group.

Here's the before's of the room in question.

My thoughts were, to keep the colour scheme simple & bring the colour in through the art & the pillows on the bed & the main drapery. I wanted to keep the walls white & the hardwood was already a charcoal grey. So, we settled on a scheme of black, grey, white & pink.

There you have it!

In fact, we have already purchased may of the pieces.
The desk, 2 bedside table & the desk lamp all were picked up for a mere $42 at the local Salvation Army. My client already has a similar headboard & picked up an amazing pouf at a garage sale. We also have a lovely antique hutch that will also get painted white & I'm hoping to insert some antique glass on the doors.

Let's see if we can get this room completed with in a month.
