A few weeks ago my Mom hosted a baby shower & I was enlisted to give a helping hand.
We hosted it in the backyard on a Thursday evening & the weather was so lovely.
One thing we knew straight out of the gate was that this shower was going to be more about Mom to be with a nod to baby. So no themes here. However, we did run with the colour scheme that has been chosen for the babes nursery.
Grey, white, teal, & soft shades of aqua.
On each guests place setting was a "Parenting Advice" tag & a little box of candies cleverly wrapped on a cloth diaper.
An assortment of beverages of fruit infused water, homemade sangria, wines & beers kept everyone hydrated.
We noshed on gourmet sliders, house made cole claw & poutine with truffle oil - delish!
For dessert we served home made chocolate chip cookie ice cream sammies.
Just before the evening ended we used the balloons that were from the table centre pieces to make a wish for the new baby & released them into the sky.
A wonderful end to a fabulous evening!
